Yeah i don't think it's his requirements, I play it fine on good settings with a 3.0ghz pentium 4, 1 GB of RAM and a 7600GS

I do agree, I prefer SuSE over ubuntu because the GUI is very polished among other things and easy to use, the YaST control center is very nice...

it's not hard at all to install, ubunbtu is actually much easier to install than xp, as is any other modern distro, I recommend Ubuntu or SuSE

I've been having the same temps with my new 160 Gb WDC stays around 48-51 even with a fan blowing on it.
I moved the harddrive a bit father inside the case and put a spare 120 MM case fan right in front of it blowing on it twards the back of the case...
