I like your portfolio better than the band site, on the portfolio, I like the calm feeling it gives you on the band site try to put the header...
also you might want to work on a bigger canvas
it's pretty good imo, maybe add some text in the plain area in the same style...
maybe sharpen the effects up a little.. and down the text to where the blur is

botyh are nice, but V1 is better imo, it has better effects
V1 & V4 the first 2 tag's are a bit large tough... also imo the focal points are not were they belong but that is just my opinion, it looks nice...
