Ok, heres the situation ... I bought an ASUS x850 XT Platinum Edition AGP x8 for christmas. Now, on newegg.com, they have the 7800 GS anywhere...
The processor is what is killing you ... on newegg, they have alot of processors on sale right now ... also, you should be able to OC your GFX...
I, personally have a 17" LCD monitor, and it is plenty big for gaming ... so for the same price get the 19" if you have the extra space on your desk.
Go into your computer BIOS and set the primary boot device ... it should show your old hard drive, your new one, and your CD drive (or DVD ......
