the E8500 edit: also, what OS are you goint to use becuase if you use XP you don't need 4 Gb of memory since XP can only use a max of 3 gb.
the worst age was probalby the fist year of high school where I actually had to learn stuff instead of game the whole day...
actually the processor can't produce more fps than it already does and by the time your quad core is fully supported for games you are only doing...
