I think you did a great job you actually made the orig look like poop your versions alot better, good lighting, good coloring, for a simple piece...
good idea, but the execution can be better, use more layers of the melt' also work in water stock and give it color to make it look more realistic...

I agree with Dave, theres not much depth and im not feeling the compo unless the idea of the tag is to showcase the typo and the subjects nipple....
yes the subject is lost in effects, one reason can be there is no light source , and that can be the actuall cherry on the cig give it some light...
add more depth with diffrent textures and shapes also soft brush spots inbetween layers works also if using the right colors, one other thing on...
