    Hello,
I have had my 5.1 Surround speakers for quite some time (3-4 Month) and they worked fine. Today i turn on my sound and unplug my headsets. Now the speakers are not working so i plugged the headphones in and it worked. Now my SOund works thru headphones but doesnt work thru speakers. How can i fix this?

I have checked all the cables and i dont know why it isnt working.. Need help asap Thank you.

Check your Sound Properies (Start-->Settings-->Program Files-->Sound and Audio Devices) - Just to make sure everything is OK and nothing has been set to mute by accident.

Also you could try plugging the speakers into something else (CD/MP3 player for example) just to make sure the speakers actually work.

was it like winamp? And your headset was in, then you unplugged it to listen through speakers? I did that many times, You gotta reboot the music player. Uhm. Make sure your speakers are on and sound is up. Im not making fun of you, I forget these things all the time. :/

    Try...
Control Panel<Audio Devices<Advanced(make sure its the one under speaker settings) and then make sure its on 5.1 not headphones..

dunno if it'll work but good luck.

go to system properties-hardware-device manager and see if any drivers are missing or have an exclamation point next to them. If they do, reinstall those drivers.

try pluging in the speakers where you plug in your head phones
    or reinstal the speakers

    perhaps your speakers are broken
