Hi im a regular Counter Strike 1.6 player and im just wondering what are everyones thoughts whether 1.6 or source is the best cs ever?? And what you liek about each?
1.6 > Source, why? One word, hitboxes. It actually takes a little skill to be good at 1.6, unlike Source EDIT: I'm sure there are MANY threads like this already around though.
there are many threads like this..well i only play 1.6 and have never played source yet so ye..1.6 ownz!
Ive come to find 1.6 is the best.. people who play source says it looks better but it gets old super fast. a few of my friends stopped playing source and came back to 1.6
I like Source much better. You can't play Dawn Of The Dead mode in 1.6 :huh: If anyone's confused, my friends and I came up with Dawn Of The Dead mode. What you do is have four people on the same team, against 20-30 bots on the other. At this point, you might be thinking, "But Bloodstopper! Four regular people wouldn't stand a chance against 30 bots!" And I agree. Under normal conditions, of course :lol: . Limit the bots to only use knives, and don't go to a map that has guns on the ground. Our favourite map to play on with this is the stadium, because it sorta looks like a shopping mall, thereby sticking to the movie. Arm yourself with the heavy machine-gun (In the "Buy" menu it's 5-1) and ammo, and go crazy. Try to top 1000 kills in half-an-hour! That's our highest total! It's more fun if you're the Terrorists, because when you plant the bomb, they all come running like siting ducks...
lol na 1.6 is betta but i dun often much since i got bored all i play is warcraft now but i occasionally play cs
ok this is my story i play 1.6 im actually pretty good then i buyed source just to have both cause cs is 1 of the best games i know B) but it lagged like ---- on my com and now im making maps with source sdk cause i cant play source :S
both have their advantages. in 1.6, the hitboxes. It takes more skill to be good in 1.6 so i like it for that but in Source, there are alot of new maps n stuff u cant do in 1.6
