For a long time now I have wanted to act so bad. Looking at Dsnety channel and just wanting to be in movies. I want to do it now as I am young and still want to do it. But I dont know what to do or how to get started. My parents and my family members think I am crzy but I am not. I want to do this for a little while but I dont know... I can act. I know I can. My mom thinks I should be in drama but I have never been more serious. No one believes me that I want to do this.

Any body know what I could do to either convince them to let me do it or how to get started or something. I cant just tell my parents that I want to act they wont believe me. Any ideas?

Look for auditions in your area. (i.e. look at flyers, sign up for newsletters, check websites, etc.)

If you need a credit card to sign up it's probably a scam. <_<

hahah, "please provide a valid credit card number if you want an acting job in 30 days!". Just take drama classes in school, check the news paper for auditions. Take acting classes ---- like that.

Join drama in school. As you progress and gain experience, enroll in an Arts school or another school with a drama program. Keep watch for any auditions that come to your town or nearby towns, and audition at as many as you can.

There is no need for acting classes if I know how to act. How will that help me out in getting into acting..?

But see I can do the acting but I need to know ways to get my parents to take me seriously in doing this.

... I doubt you're a really good actor, okay yea you're confident and whatever...

But... You've never acted before, you've never taken a class... You just know you can act. Hah, that's funny. You're pretty much saying, that you're so good, that a professional couldnt help you get better. WOW.

Try finding an agent if you're that good.

As I said, just tell them, with a serious expression on your face, in a serious tone of voice, if you're parents don't believe you then they suck.

Alright I get yourpoint. I am just saying that I know I can act. I know it is NO where near a professional but it is a start.

that is the place I was telling you about. I am taking drama next year as an elective so I can graduate so maybe that will help. I mean I can trick Mike(Mike's Super Short Show) in believing me then that is good. I mean he isnt a proffessional actor but he is pretty good.
