YOU NEED DDR 400 FOR THIS TYPE OF PROCESSOR. SO, YOU WOULD NEED TO ALSO BUY NEW MEMORY.

it won't be the comp of my dreams though(quad, dualcore opertrons.. with 16G DC DRR400ram and dual 7800GTXs)

here is what I would get considering

    MSI SLI plat
(4gig DC support, SLI suport, 939pin, onboard Sata RAID)
    AMD Athlon X2 4400+
    7800gt
That should put you right about there excluding case/psu, though you can get a good combo for 30-70$

you could buy a dualcore processor or an Xtreme version processor. the only thing what wrong with these is taht its hard to find a dual processor Motherboard (not that hard) but its very expensive. whats wrong with the Xtreme processors is that the have an extra 6% on top of the best processor of a reasonable price, but often kost more then 30% extra.

If you want a good GFX card u got to spend MUCH on it. it is the most expensive part that ages the fastest.

U should buy AT LEAST 1 GIG of ram and a 200 GIG HDD.

If you are searching for a good gaming computer you should check alienware.co.uk . the only thing is, you probalby wont stay below the 1100 you mentioned. G

    ood luck with it

By the way if your gonna run this type of system, you gotta consider a very good power supply to power the CPU & Video Card. Also, I would go with watter cooling with the dual core processors coming out they'll be running alot hotter.

That's why the specs on my second post is the best for the $1100 price range. Top of the line stuff for the budget.
