Anyone here about this one? it might get as worse as Katrina... the ironic thing is its path was right towards New Orleans and now its heading toward the place where theyre holding the Katrina victims... man I hope it doesnt get any worse looks like it might become a catagory 4-5 in the next few days so if you live out there I suggest evacuating

Btw didn't see a topic about this yet so don't flame me if theres one before mine >.<

Our nation is going through a lot. We just need to get everyone out of there in my opinion. We should have long before Katrina.

They told everyone thta the dikes would break during katrina and guess what? They did, which caused the flooding in New Orleans. It's going to happen again, if not with Rita then probably in months, or years. Maybe even days.

I don't think anyone should live there.

The whole concept of New Orleans, in my opinion, is retarded. Who builds a city below sea level and doesn't realize the possible consequences for doing this?

I'm sure years from now New Orleans will be re-built and another hurrican will hit it and this entire thing will repeat itself.

I agree soldier. They were told 50 years ago that this would happen just because of the fact that New Orleans is under sea level. It was common sense that you shouldn't live there.

But what can you say? That was peoples homes.

We need to just bare with this and get everyone out as soon as possible.

the funny thing is is that Rita isn't headed for New Orleans, its head for Houston, actually freeport which is 10-20 mins away from Galveston.
so... basicaly i might miss school thursday and friday because of Rita which is already a catagory 2.

You know whats really funny/something many of you dident know?

As Renegade said, they said 50 years ago that this could possibly happen. They ARE under sea level. Now, the ironic thing is, is that they put their generaters in BASEMENTS?

...Think to urself for a second.. Who puts generators on Basements (under water), when u are ALREADY BELOW the sea level?

    Weird things these days..

    Good luck New Orleans..Again.

It originally had 4 projected paths.. 3 of them heading towards the Texas/Mexico region and one heading directly towards New Orleans.

Well yes it isn't headed straight for New Orleans now.

This doesn't mean that New Orleans will get a major downpour of rain.
