Your not supposed to do that. Just make your own backrounds with brushes.

I don't think it's illegal, just don't say you made it yourself.

its not bad or anything like that, they just take pride in their work, and requires time & effort and dont wanna random ppl to use their work, that they made

and just use renders, saves u time, and their time ^_^

its not illegal, but its in bad taste IMO. If you can't make your own stuff, just request a sig

    Yes it is illegal.

Basically every picture belongs to theyr owner and you are not supposed to use/steal unless given permission or if the wallpaper is royalty-free. And you can pay fines and be sued for such a thing. And it does not matter if you can recognize it or not , its illegal.

    Have a nice day.

What the above two posters said, basically.

It IS illegal, because it constitutes copyright infringement, regardless if you're using them for any personal benefit, monetary or otherwise. However, unless you happen to become extremely famous and your work gets shown around all over the world, chances are that the creators of the graphics in question will never even notice that you stole 'em, hence why websites such as this one exist.

Using "renders" in your sigs is just as illegal as anything else. The work was created by someone, and chances are it's copyrighted to that same person or company. However, they're not ever gonna find you, and even if they do, they'd probably lose more money from filing a lawsuit than gain it from any monetary compensation they'd receive as a result of the lawsuit.
