Sorry, don't like the outcome at all, or the text. It just looks noobish. And in the tut you were working at 62.1%, not good. Always work at 100% with the whole canvas stretched across Photoshop. But nice try though. Like you said, it's good for beginners, they could learn a thing or two. ^_^ +Rep for your efforts.

Even though it's for new people, you still could have used better brushes, better effects on the text just like HoLy said, and if you wanted to use the blue color, then maybe desaturate it a bit. In other words, if I had never made a sig before and wanted to, I would much rather use a tutorial that has the outcome of a sig that is pleasant to look at. Edit: not flaming you at all, just trying to give some constructive criticism. The tutorial itself is easy to understand and provides with enough images as well, good job on that, looking forward to more tuts from you
