People shouldn't be allowed to render things from gamewallpapers, as its giving people renders others have to pay for, which is unfair. I know theres not really any way of stopping it, but I'd like to hear what others think..

Well, I kinda agree with you, but like you said, there's no way to stop it, I guess if gamewallpapers really care about it, they would do something about it.

Exodus, don't you use renders from games? Where do you get them from?

Also, I remember Proto said a while ago, when the Rip Stop! section at NSL was first created, that GW was royalty-free and using images from there was okay.

Not to say he is the ultimate source, but I wouldn't doubt his word without a really good reason to.

It is indeed royalty-free, if you go through alot of their wallpapers, you would find them on alot of other sites if you look hard enough.

Bona, I use them, but not render, and I don't give them out to others or ask for rep, etc.

BFTP, agreed. Some can be found on other sites, but I thought I'd seen every halo2 wallpaper there was untill I got an account. Theres atleast one wallpaper every un-subscriber hasnt seen.

You can't prove it doesn't exist anywhere else just because you haven't seen it

It is royalty free, and by you paying for the images you have every right to copy and manipulate said image.

    I.E Rendering and presenting.

As long as it's not for real money, then there is nothing wrong with it.

The actual game character images (i.e the parts that are cut out) in the wallpapers are not usually made by Gamewallpapers, they come from imagery provided by the games companies themselves.
