Go with DS i have both and have a much better gaming exp out of DS The DS has 6 hours worth of battery power where the PsP only has 3-4 Yes the PsP can play DVD's but at a certain extent...they have to be compatible with the DVD player(sold seperately) adaptable to the PsP where as you could buy a Protable DVD player for around 300 dollars which i think is cheaper than the player...and then there is the game issue...yes PsP has better games and better GFX but DS also has that kick ass touch screen and you can chat to other peeps so to summarize my post. Get nintendo DS you get a longer gaming exp you can chat to your mates and you have a kick ass touch screen

I have a PSP. My brother has played my cousin's DS and said it sucked. Plus, Grand Theft Auto is coming out for the PSP last next month
i think PSP is better..ive never played it but i have seen the gfx for it.. i used to own a DS but it sucked soo much that i got rid of it
I've noticed many PSP lovers say DS sucks, we never say PSP sucked do we? We all admit PSP is good for their power, we just like the DS for it's new style of gaming and its fun factor. Sure the power of the DS isn't great, and it doesn't matter if we don't have Music, Image, Movie, Browser, etc. But all of that doesn't make a Gaming Portable (except power), that would just make an Entertainment Device. If the PSP didn't have all those Entertainment features, and if we ignore the looks of the game, what would you think would win? Basically, I just like the DS for giving me a new gaming experience and a perfect feel for FPS and/ or touch point-based games.
Yeah, it does everything, but it spreads itself too thin, so therfore it does it poorly. I'd rather buy an MP3 player, Watch DVD's on my laptop, because i know i can BUY Dvd's easily. and just keep my DS, Altogether that means... err £125? If you dont have a laptop already.. thats - £210, for a portable dvd player on top.. hmm I guess that my way is better.. if you want to splash out.
They are both good, i'd prefer the psp because it is aimed for a mature audience, ds has good games but they are mostly for kids. As with anyhandheld you will incounter messed up pixales and pixalated images and some games. But if u want to play ur movies, mp3 etc get the psp.
What I see as the DS and the PSP. The PSP is appealed to mature audience, which is true. And the DS, it is appealed to people of diverse ages. My cousin, who is married, got a DS, and her husband also.
