If you don't like rap topics, don't click on 'em. It's not like it's hard to deduce the context of the discussion from the title...

Anyway, the Guinness records has Rebel XD as the fastest rapper, but he isn't really a rapper. All he did was spit a 1-minute thing where he spit like 12 syllables a minute. So, that doesn't really count.

However, the previous holder of the title was Twista, and yeah, he's way faster than Bone Thugs. In recent times he had to tone down his sh*t because fast-ass rapping doesn't appeal to the mainstream audience (all they're interested in is club bangers), but find stuff of his from way back in the 90's, while he was still called Mr. Tung Twista, and you'll see what fast REALLY means.

Immortal Technique is Hip-Hop not rap.

Hip-Hop - Uses intelligence and high vocab to rhyme with.

Rap - Rhymes about guns, cars, hoes, anything that's pretty much stupid.

    My favorite Hip-Hop artists are:

    Del The Funkee Homosapien!
    Immortal Technique
    Hieroglyphics
    Brother Ali
    Atmosphere
    Eyedea and Abilities
    Jedi Mind Tricks
    Mos Def
    Talib Kweli
    Jean Grae

Uh, you don't have a clue.

Hip-hop is a culture. Rap is the music inherent to the hip-hop culture. In general, hip-hop is defined by 4 pillars: emceeing, b-boying/b-girling (commonly referred to as breakdancing), DJing, and tagging (graffitti). Well, rap is basically a combination of emceeing and DJing. In other words, rap is a subcategory of hip-hop.

That's how I classify it but if you really enjoyed "rap" why would you listen to 50 Cent the mainstream is terrible, everyone knows underground is above every other "rap" genre. Also 2pac is way overrated he was a decent rapper with a decent vocab, he's nothing close to a legend.

Regardless of what you listen to, you're still wrong. Point is this:

    Hip-hop is a culture.
    Rap is a music genre.

And I understand you're one of those lame elitists who just got a hold of an Immortal Technique album and thinks he knows all about rap, but nah. Mainstream has a lot of good stuff. Listen to Canibus, Joe Budden, Nas, Jay-Z, for example. They're all mainstream, and they sh*t on almost any other rapper out there. And just to let you know, Mos Def and Talib Kweli are mainstream rappers too, since you seemed to be a little confused about that.

2pac... nothing close to a legend eh?

    It wasnt just his music...

    this man was a LEADER.

he could rap, he was smart,

this is the man who had enough power and influence to arrange a picnic between the bloods and crips

this is the same man who put out the THUG LIFE code which basically said that you should NEVER involve innocent citizens with gangwar... dont go around killing innocent people.. only go after those who have beef with you

now you wanna tell me 2pac wasnt a legend?

2pac never called himself a thug until he realized the stuff he was doing to change society was very rebellious

Overrated? Jay-Z isn't considered a legend for no reason. All his albums have gone at least platinum, and the dude doesn't even write his rhymes.

If you wanna talk about overrated, you can list Atmosphere, Aesop Rock, and all those other groups/artists on there, because they're pretty much wack nerd rap yet everyone considers them geniuses just because they're underground artists.

I don't like Aesop but Atmosphere is dope I don't know what you're talking about. It's alright I choose to not follow the crowd who drools over Jay-Z, Nas, Notorious B.I.G., or 2pac. I respect the rappers I listened to and if they battled against anyone on your list they'd be owned so bad they wouldn't ever rap again. I am done arguing we could keep going back and forth but what's the point, later.
