I think there are too many of these lil ps or psp or w/e sites going up and it annoys me to see soo much free work going on, people need to get paid for taking a weekend or so to do something... you should be one of the first and CHARGE stand out and CHARGE! haha

 

once i get better ill start selling templates

 

me and a friend (hes a professional web designer) are gonna put up a site similiar to clantemplates and my game temps but its gonna be like 100x better his work is SOO kick ass

Hes doing my sites in flash now

The start of the site will have like 50+ temps that are equal in value to if not better than most of the template monster temps and will be like high tech, clean and kick ass

But the way we make money is gonna be ads, and the people buying the premium designs.. we have 6 people on the team all ex programmers / designers for different people, one guy is from the Macy.com site he did some of the ads and stuff for flash and now hes doing some work for us

But your site sounds cool, I will go to it and register when I get a chance.

the problem with selling your designs is theres always someone out there doing it for free and when it comes to people they rather get free stuff than pay. people who pay are big companys who wants designers with college background. i know from expreience in the world of design its best to have at least a itt degree in graphics design
and if u want big bucks just sitting in front of a montior for a company like pixar go to MIT for 8 years get the masters in 3d art/graphics designs.


but maybe you can get it off the ground cause a site like this takes many months to build a fan base

Well, the thing with free work, is that almost 99.99% of the stuff thats free relating to graphics is not even able to be ranked against the work of paid designs, depending on who works for you.

Honestly I don't want to brag that others are better, but honestly most of what I see can be better and has been done better, it just is that free time isn't the same as work time.. people are more serious and get more into it when your under the wire, under the gun, or however you want to call it. I honestly have done work 100x better than my sigs for customers, and I plan to keep doing that as long as I work, and when I have a huge project and I do it the night before it comes out 100x better than when I do it long before the due date...

 

I make free templates, and code them for whoever wants. I would like to make a huge site like you and your friend, MarkWLI, but I am only 15 and I don't have near enough time, anyways I have been accepted at PS-Resource, which I will code the template for right now. B)

 

I am 14, I don't do work myself other than management and checking up on shit...
