Try re-installing it, but not messing up this time. I dont know if you can actually remove IE cos its in windows, but if youre really desperate i suppose you could format your computer and start again.
Id recommend sodding IE and using firefox its much better, plus its got tabs. wooties :)

I use Firefox anyways (that's how I'm posting now), but I just wanted to see what the new IE had to offer. I'm downloading it again, hopefully no mess ups this time. OK I installed it, but it says I need to logi into the account on which I installed it to remove it, but there only is one account on my computer

As far as i know, the new IE isnt worth bothering with. Thats a strange problem with the account. And you say theres only one account on there? And it wont work....well...what exactly messed up, when you installed it the first time?

It was the right file, just my computer probably. I rebooted, and something deleted a whole pile of files at startup, and a lot of programs are msiing from start menu, and My documents is missing as well

I.E. can't be uninstalled because Windows requires I.E. in order to update and I.E. is considered a system file. The only thing you can do is downgrade I.E. all the way down to the first version or reinstall so it doesn't mess up.

I would system restore, but I disabled because of viruses, and I can only find internet explorer version 5, no first version.
