Omfg Wtf?

I downloaded a .avi file, which took hours on my slow speed. but it wont open with anything. quicktime says it cannot find the specified file. wmp says it cannot play this type of file, i downloaded some DivX players, but they say they cant play it. does anyone know whats wrong?

edit: if you can help i will pay creds.

 

I would try realplayer which has most plugins. realplayer has a nice free version if it doesnt work then your out of luck because I dont think anything else will work.

 

get a diff medi apalyer.

i have tried different mediaplayers. i was asking you guys if you could name one, or give me help with the file.

 

It might be a corrupt file.

 

you can try vlc player which plays every type of video file. You can get it here

 

thanks prints. its not corrupt because my software tells you when a file is corrupt.

 

have you tried quick time player? thats what the extension .avi is for

 

try changing the format of the file...

 

It has nothing to do witha a media player. It has to do with the codec. Look on google for klite codec pack. It has every codec you could need. (It's okay mods, Klite is legal)

 

yeh try quicktime or if that dosnt work look for sum avi codecs or summet and if that dosnt then its corrupt n your comp might not be able to tell its corrupt though

 

burn it onto a disc and play in ur dvd player?
