Since it's getting late in the day...I'll have to do system restore some time next weekend. During the weekday I'm too busy....

Anyways, once I do system restore and once everything turns out fine and is restored back to normal, I'll divide my credits so that everyone who offered help to me will get some.

    Thanks guys.

To clarify the effects of system restore allow me to refer to my A+ Software Guide, and Quote the following.

I don't think the application files it refers to are psd's or anything like that, mainly files used to manage application settings.... like if you recently made adjustments to your browser or something of that nature. ;)

Your pictures, music, etc should be fine.

Just know... if it's a virus, system restore may not work. Before you do the system restore, be sure to use an up-to-date antivirus. As well as an anti-adware and anti-spyware.

After you have run a complete system scan for those things, use system restore, and reboot in safe mode. Scan for viruses, etc. again if you found some the first time.

Let me know if that helps. ;)

Ah, the most important part to that is to make sure you use an antivirus BEFORE and AFTER the the system restore.... in short... for a more detailed explanation go up a couple posts.

    Thanks for the help...

But are you guys sure, 150% completely positive, that if I system restore now, all my up to date files will still be here?

And, if I system restore back to a week ago, will I be able to restore back to this day, just incase anything...you know happens??

There is no guarantee that once you do a system restore, all your files will remain intact. Most likely they will be okay, regardless of the risk, this is one of your only choices. If your still weary of losing your files, back them up. You can back them up by means of burning a cd/dvd(whatever one you have and works best for you) or you can gather all of your files together in one parent folder, zip it, then load it to xdrop.com(holding place for files up to 5 gigs) then do the sytem restore once your files are backed up.

I've done system restore once... and it screwed my computer up =) I couldn't acces the internet anymore, some games didn't work anymore and I lost some stuf... So im never gonna use system restore again =)

But as far as I can see other users never had problems with it, so I just guess it was only me =)
