Sure, I could help you out.

Although I don't agree with you on the Pentium 4. AMD Athlon 64 is the ---- for gaming, and anything else you need. (64BIT Technology)

Also, 1000 isnt going to buy you a Super computer, so Im going to try and stay kind of low..Not the best parts in the world.

    Logitech 5.1, 140 WAT, 5 Spakers(2 speakers in each, so 10), and a Sub. - Speakers
    Images/Info: http://www.computerhq.com/Logitech_X-530_5...-id-503094.html
Theyre the best speakers ever. All of my friends, and I have them. Quality is pure, surround sound, and not TOO expensive.

Gigabyte Technology K8 Triton series, K8NS Pro
    AGP8X/DDR400 Motherboard.
    Supports AMD Athlon 64 -Motherboard

Gigabyte Technology NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900XT 256MB Graphics Card - Graphics Card
Now, theres higher, but then again you only have 1000. This is THE best for the bundle. :) I am also a GeForce guy, and I prefer GeForce FX over Radeon, but thats just me.

    Windows XP Service Pack 2
    (The newest Service Pack)

    1gig of Ram
(all you need, can upgrade to whatever)

Well, this is all you need. If you have any questions, PM me. The rest of the parts are somewhat obvious.

    Hopefully I helped. :)

A little note on the graphic card though , better go for the GeForce6 xxx series . GF6600 or 6600GT will be a wise choice in the term of performance and value .

In my opinion , if you want to stick with the FX series and you plan to get the 5900 . Better go for the 6600 series which is more cheaper and has a much better performance (3.0 smart shader) .

If you go AMD I would reccomend one.

And for having it run 20 hours a day, most computers today can run 24/7 for a week.

trust me AMD is higher quality, just look at the scores. All of my P3 systems no longer work but my ancient K6 is still running, just a bit slow.

    AMD Athlon 64 (ADA4200BVBOX) X2 4200+ socket 939 2.2ghz 512kb and 512kb Cache
Thats the one u want m8. its a £300+ processor. the amd64 x2. its a dual core amd 64, the latest one out. (i think)

and u will need a headset. 4get speakers, ask any pro gamer, and they will tell u that headsets are a million times better that speakers bcos with a hedset the sound feeding directly into ur ears, and the fact that u cant hear others around u, means total immersion and no distraction. i wud spend loads on just a hedset rather than a state of the art sound system.

    List:

    Gigabyte GV-3D1 with GA-K8NXP-SLI. Geforce Dual 6600GT Chip 256MB Graphics Accelerator bundled with GA-K8NXP-SLI motherboard - £230
    AMD Athlon 64 (ADA4200BVBOX) X2 4200+ socket 939 2.2ghz 512kb and 512kb Cache - £300
    512 DDR 400 Ram - £40
    120gb sata hdd - £70

    (approxiamate prices*)

thats abt £700 which is abt $1000

TRUST ME PLZ M8, the mobo and processor that i have listed is a MUST HAVE. those are what u want. U can upgrade ur Ram at a l8r stage. and a monitor, keybord and mouse and case. ull need those too.

www.ebuyer.com << and thats the place to get it frm.

GL with w.e u buy and have fun with it, and i hope i have helped u.
