Im kinda new here so i dont know if they frown on this kinda topic but its really easy.

U just need 2 progs. dvddecriptor and dvd shrink thier both freeware.
u just put the dvd in ur drive and run the decriptor and it will copy the files to ur pc and decript them u will have the whole dvd on ur drive. now u go to dvd shrink and run that u can either choose to burn just the movie or u can choose to get all them menus. usually to get the menus u need a prog called vob blanker(which is free 2). it will acutally blank out sections of the dvd that u dont need or want. go to dvdhelp.com for more info on useing these progs and where to dl them. I litterally burn 9 dvds a week cause i have netflix. I have hundreds of movies.

About discs. some disc wont work in some player. I have found that the verbatium movie discs seem to work in almost every player. thier a little more expensive but thier well worth it.

Now that deservers a dontation dont u think?
    good luck check out dvdhelp.com

you could use adobe encore... it's kinda hard to understand, but once you get it, it's easy. you basically create a menu in PS and impirt it into encore and link the movie to the buttons... sounds confusing, but it's not! hope that helps!

Well, Nero should take care of everything for ya...

( I even got the pirated version of SW3, and burned it onto a dvd-rw with nero. It was quick and easy...)

If the movies your converting, are mpeg 4 (avi files), like divx or xvid. There's DVD players out there that can play it. I have a RjTECH RJ-1800DVX MPEG-4 and DivX Certified DVD Player. It plays all MPEG-4 movies. I dont have to convert them to VCD/SVCD or DVD's anymore.

Nero Vision Express is quite easy to use program. I have burned one DVD with it from my own video and it played well on a DVD player.

First off we need more info...

What format are the files you want to put on the dvd (avi, mpeg etc.)
If they are mpeg then ther is no need to re-encode them which is what vision express will do (and will increase the filesize greatly)

If they are mpegs then something like dvdlab or dvd author will do ya.

If they are avi files then you are going to have to reencode them, for this you could use visionexpress but like I said you are going to increase the filesize and hence the amount of dvds you are going to need increases.

Post back with the info and I'm sure I can get you sorted :)

(I might be a noob at ps but not in this area :D )

    Youre pullig my leg right?

How much experience have you got encoding?

Nero does a decent job... but to put multiple mpgs or avis to a single disc its crap!

For instance I just made 2 KDVDs of the the star trek saga, very good quality no way could you do that with nero.

If your talking about grabing films via newsgroups/bittorent then reencoding to DVD with vision express then yes it does an adiquate job.

But you do nont incease the quality of the video stream, but you greatly increase the file size.

You can keep the quality and filesize with other programes enabling multiple films on 1 dvd. Saves discs, time and hassle ;)

    Unless your selling them :P
