    i play cod and i have a 6800 ultra but im only getting 80 fps
    now i have syn every frame off and max fps to 500
    i thought it was a power supply but i bought a 600watt ps anyone have any ideas...will offer creds if resolved!

    what's your RAM and processor speed? that might slow it down even if you have the latest card.

    I wouldn't know, maybe it is windows... also P4s suck when it comes to gaming, they are more for mathematical computations and simple things.

    also stop complaining, 60fps is acceptable 80 is more than enough, DOOM 3 won't even allow you to run above 60....

    yea first off whenever i start a round it drops to 13 then 80 is max and in cod its not great....you cant do alot of jumps :(

    Check you have the lastest Drivers and directx
    Make sure that ur Card not overheatin also check ya ram not also

    wat Screen Res u have it at?

    have latest drivers and direct x
    i have the side panel off my pc and a fan on it at all times
    i run my pc at 1280x1024

    thats weird, i play bf2 (im guessing it has similar gfx to cod), i have a 6600GT, and a p4, a bit faster than urs...and i can jump all day and no lag...

    Try playing at a lower resolution. Also 6800Ultras run really hotm so you might want to take that into account also. Open up your case side and see if that helps any.

    what i would do to get 125 fps is this command - /cg_maxfps 125 i think thats it. and /cg_drawfps 1 to see what ur fps it. It might be /com_maxfps 123. let me know if it works. type this in console

    ive already set the max fps and draw fps thats how i know what im getting..myabe it is overheating but unno :(

    just a wild guess cuz i aint no expert but it might help if u turned off v-sync on ur card if it isnt already.

    that might work cuz that makes it so my cs1.6 can go past 60fps on my comp

    Considering that eyes can only read 80fps+ i dunno how it was possible to see 500fps
