My Computers Pooping

Hi im at my friends house on his computer. I am having technical difficulties with my computer at home. Here is the downlow i was on it when it randomly restarted and then when the main restart screen came up it was all black for 10 seconds and then it said WINDOWS coul not start ebcuase the following file is missing or corrupt ;\WINDOWS\ SYSTEM 32\CONFIG\SYSTEM you can attempt to repair this file by starting windows set up using the original cd select "r" at the first screen to start repair but the person who made my computer installed windows so i have no idea what to do

 

dude i had the same thing i had to reformat.

Yeah me too. What u need to do is put the disc in ur drive and boot from disc. To do that on startup press f12 or something. gl

 

i do not have the disk

 

i had the disk but it wouldnt run through it cuase the disk was so old

 

is there anyway i can do this without reformatting it

 

um not with out the disk no.

 

edit: also u cant burn one cuase it wont let u boot from it.

 

no man ur stuck between a rock and a hardplace now...no way to get out this pickle without formatting...

 

can i back up all my files and not lose everything then

 

no u wont be able to even get on the hard drive, but if ur on a desktop u may be able to to move ur hard drive to another computer and take the files off of it.
