Any one here play dod, because if you do then I was wondering if you know any way to put admin commands on a lan server.
No I was wanting to know if it was possible to install admin for lan server and if it is where do I download it at?
well, theres the basic rcon commands. with rcon you can change map, kick people, ban, and the works. dedicated server example: choose an rcon password now to go console and type: rcon_password password now you have control. to use it: rcon changelevel NOTE: you must have rcon in front of the command rcon sv_gravity rcon kick etc. also, you can download an admin plugin, called AMX. its usually hard to set up, and its got many plug ins for ulimate control. website: http://amxmod.net/
Its really not letting me put in anything everything I put it says something somular to this ] rcon gravity 888 Rcon from loopback: rcon 2280811537 "jon" gravity 888 Unknown command: gravity
with regular rcon, godmode and teleportation is non-existant. thats why AMX mod was created. its another form of admin, with many plug-ins to choose from. check the amx mod website for a list of the plug-ins. you'll find admin command plug-ins, fun plug-ins (god mode etc.) and whatever else you need.
Valve said they are releasing it sometime this month. Quote from Valve: "Day of Defeat: Source will be released this month. While we're not quite ready to pin down the exact date of when it will be available to play, we are confident that it will happen in September. Once we do have an exact date and time for when the game will be activated, we'll let everyone know. There will be a period of one week at minimum during which people will be able to pre-order and preload the game via Steam, giving them the ability to unlock and play at the moment it is activated. Day of Defeat: Source will be available as an individual purchase via Steam, as well as part of the Counter-Strike: Source retail package that will be available at stores around the same time. Half-Life 2: Silver and Gold package customers will automatically be able to play."
