Quick Question

okay, so I just got CS 1.6
can anyone tell me how to join a server using the server's Ip address at the main screen. I know I have to type something in "control"

well I have this server's Ip address, but I don't know where to insert it to go to the server

 

open up the console and type

/connect then type the ip address i think try that.

 

Server List
Favourites tab
add to faveourites
paste ip
double click server :|

 

Go on the console (~ default) and type connect ip.ip.ip:ipipip

 

thats exactly what i said lol

 

go to console (~)
connect 000.000.000.000:00000
they arent always 3 numbers, and the most common port is 27015

 

also, if u feel u may have added in the wrong ip, or ur unsure of whether u got the ip right or not, rightclick the tab where it says like players and server name and stuff, and check the ip box.
this will display ip.

also, if you need a password,
connect 000.000.000.000:00000;password password
^ ^ ^ ^
what you type the actual password

also if you get an error like server verfication failed, instead of typing the whole ip again, you can press the up arrow, or type retry.
