Budget for both video and memory - $300

Here is a link of what I found on newegg
    Memory

All these are the correct pins and ram type my computer uses. I need help picking the right one for with my budget. I plan to get two of the same type. So what does buffer and unbuffer mean? Cas latency??? Heat Spreaders?!?!? Help me out with some details please.

As for video card. Anything decent enough to play Battefield 2. My video card now shows BF2 like a ps1 game no joke! I want something that can actually show some details for me. I use PCI. Looking for around 250mb.

    Videocard

I just need something that can run battlefield 2 real good and a video card that doesn't make my computer skip like crazy.

Current have 512mb, 2.3ghz processor, and 128mb nvida video card. Thanks!

why dont u get 1 GB corsair value select ! it's about 80 bucks ! and for video card ! get Nvidia 6800 (not GT, just 6800) it's only 200 bucks :D

ooh btw Buffer is for server. since ur using it for personal (playing game and stuff, just use unbuffer)

CAS latency ! u always want to get RAM with the first number being the smallest.

    2.3GHZ what???

    a 2.3GHZ celeron or P4 blows... HARD
    a 2.3GHz Athlon freaking rocks...

as for my advice, get Gforce 9600 256mb and 512mb of PC3200 ram assuming it matches the clock speed of your toher ram

there is no geforce 9600, isnt the newest 7800? ^o)

oh well, umm as for the vid card, 6800 is nice, but i have the 6600GT and it runs bf2 perfectly, not sure if the 6800 is alot more than then 6600GT, but if the 6800 is out of ur price range, go for the 6600GT :)
