Who is sponsoring the programs? Does your school offer photoshop or anything related already?

Fun raising is always good for new stuff. If your running the whole thing, plan every session. View some online sites and add them to a list for your group to look at. Print out some color copies of stuff like ipod ads and ask them what appeals to them the most of the ad? Stuff like that to help them become a better graphic's designer.

If it's a graphics club, then I don't know what kind of events you'll be able to do with the club. But if it's a team, or a team within the club, you guys will be able to do projects for teachers. Like, have a rendering section on your team, coloring, flash, etc.

I would suggest having PS CS at the minimum. But most teachers don't want anything extremely fancy. Animations are what teachers like for some reason. So, I suggest getting good with flash.

ok....usually a club have a meeting once a week, however I'll be willing to put 2 meeting of time into this club, school didnt start for me yet so I dont no who will be sponsoring this club, probably a computer teacher though.....for the programs...I think we have ps element and thats it..so it will be hard to start this club....my target of this club is to have fun and gather ppl who is interested in ps or other 3D graphic programs to teach each others.....I have few friends that wants to start this but we have no idea what to do in the club......I still dont have a goal of what shoud we acheive.... and also I want to no if any of your schools have any kind of similar club...

That'd be cool to do, but there's no chance my school's computers could handle PS... add up all the RAM in that building, and I still have more on this computer.

my school has 5.5 ps....i made a sig on that,ON THAT CRAP haha
i asked the teacher to install cs2..i even offered her the legal cd,and she said no! O.O god what a #!@#@!#
anyway, what i think is you need someone that is good in ps,not all n00bs that want to learn, you need someone that could teach the n00bs there.
    so well,that was my suggestion.
    peace.

There are programs in your school taht raise money for the specific purposes of extracurricular activities like clubs.

If you're starting an ONLINE graphics club, there ar ea few things you should look into:

Webhostng. A real one that's paid for. As I said, there should be some school funds that should help you out. al you really need is $20 a month.

Now instead of a Graphics Club, you can now have a Webdesign & Graphics club. Let the webdesigners maintain the site, while you all show off your work.

Then go get a DEVIANTART Account with like, the name of yur school or club on it or whatever. Then use it as a showcase for the best works that your club makes and make sure to link to your website.

You now have 2 showoff places, and you can also have them announce the URL in the school's newspaper once it's running so that everyone interested from your school can learn about your club, and see if they want to join.

If your school does a newscast, you can also have them say "There is a new club on campus, it's the PC Graphics club (or whatever you want to call it), and you can feel free to contac _ _ _ _ _ for more information, or visit www._ _ _ _ _.com." etc, etc, etc

This way you get lots of members. Keep in mind that if you have a webhost, you can have a nice big forum, and that way you won't have to wait until you get club meetings at school. Everyone can just meet online.

I think you have a great thing going here. It is good to start early with everything you want to learn.

Good luck with the club, and REMEMEBR: SCHOOL FUNDS ARE THERE FOR EVERYONE, YOURSELF INCLUDED... All you need is a GOOD ENOUGH REASON and a GOOD ENOUGH PITCH and they will give you what you need!
