Actually, what is wrong with being a hacker. Technically hackers must be really intelligent, and I didnt read the whole thing cause Im wayyyy too lazy for the moment. I'd say that a hacker is a really nice person trying to help out other by exploiting something that doesnt work well in a site and then trying to change a LITTLE thing to tell the webmaster that his site is able to get hacked and he should reinforce his security. In an other way, a script kiddie would just go into someone's computer/website and make the more damage he could to make the guy being angry and stuff like that, they are only ruinning people's fun/work. If we compare it to GFX, someone that try to rip someone sig and do it, will pm the author of the sig, and tell him that he was able to rip it easily, and another fag could just rip it without telling the author and using to ruin the other guy reputation. Hackers normally need to be really intelligent and know alot of language, there are many way to enter a website, depends always on what the website is coded with. Java is the most vulnerable in my opinion, I am myself a newb hacker, cause I am just having fun on www.hackthissite.org which encourage people to be hackers.
The Scary part of this is that we can't be sure that this is real or if its just a joke. IF it's real (IF!!!) then I feel sorry for his kids. IF it's a joke...then well its a funny one, because I can almost guarentee that almost everyone who comes to this site knows better then what he said...linux a hacking program? The site that guy posted it on RUNS on linux, Quake a hacking program? Its a game. Bonzai buddy a hacking program? Hell no, one of the most annoying spyware strains around. Its just funny.
I Dont think this is a dumb article. There are a million articles from other concerned parents with the same concerns as this one. It seems to me everyone who is knocking this post are more then likley kids themselves or have the intelligence of a kid. These sort of things are serious and I can see why he would be concerned. And put yourself in his shoes. If you were a father with a boy who was enthrulled by the computer, and YOU knew it was your ass if he did anything illegal on it, your sack would get sweaty too Why would a father put a thread like this on a videogame rendering site where teens and young adults reside? Hmmm.... I'm not sure, but it was a good article.
