What are the advantages of Linux over Windows? Would I be able to use the current programs I use such as Office 2003, AIM, Dreamweaver, Photoshop CS2, and MSN. What are some things that would make me switch to Linux? What is Linux? Where can you get/buy Linux? +rep to anyone who can help me.

What are the advantages of Linux over Windows?

Linux is more stable than Windows (as said, I think they're both stable) Linux is also open source, which means you can look at the origional code, and change it anyway you like..

Would I be able to use the current programs I use such as Office 2003, AIM, Dreamweaver, Photoshop CS2, and MSN?

For office with Linux, use openoffice, which can read Office files
I believe there is a Linux version of aim around somewhere, same with MSN
Linux has some pretty good html programs similar to Dreamweaver
For Photoshop, I suggest you try GIMP, It's almost the same

What are some things that would make me switch to Linux?

It's all free? No need to max out your credit card.

    What is Linux?

Linux is an OS, and it was meant for only experienced computer users, but now days it is for everyone.

    Where can you get/buy Linux?

http://www.linux.org/ <-your sourece to all the top distros

It is still very vulnerable, only if MS would make an OS as strong as Linux... Then we would be gods..
