48000 Fonts

hey guys..

i was wondering if that amount of fonts would hurt my comp... if you could give me help i would appreciate...

 

i think so i dunno though im a bit useless

 

probably, having all those fonts is a huge drain on the system... one of the guys at jakool was saying that if all you are going to use them for is photoshop, then there's a folder in there... AND it doesn't bog down your system (apparently)

A Windows recommends only having 200-300 fonts, I have about 800 and it lags sometimes

Of course it will...If you were serious about getting 48,000 fonts in the first place then you're mad. Like Apocalypse said, 200 - 300 is the maximum number of fonts recommended as they do make your pc lag a hell of alot.

i dont really know if you can use that many fonts . I have 500 but that includes the default ones.

 

I have abouut 2,400, and my computer is fine.... of course i do have 2.7ghz and 256 ram...

 

only in programs that use fonts... too many takes forever to sort through...

3000 ----ed me over 48k is a lot worse.

FYI i have an acceptabel comp

whats the point of having 48000 fonts i would rather just pick a font out then to sort through them
