I don't really need security programs, as I use Linux.

    AVG Antivirus (it's free)
Sygate Firewall (it's free too, but it was recently bought out by Symantec, so I'm getting nervous)
Spybot Search and Destroy (free, duh)
Registry Mechanic (you never realize how messy your registry gets without it)
    Firefox (worlds safer than ie)
Knoppix (bootable linux os that fits on a CD, good for when I completely screw up my computer and want to get in to back up everything that was on disk before I reformat)

virus scanner- eTrust EZ Antivirus (FREE)
    spyware- [I forget]
    firewall- Zone Alarm (FREE)

Haven't gotten a virus yet. But I once had to restart my system factory fresh 5 times in te span of 6 weeks cause of some major Adware problems in my Hard-drive (bought a new ne and junked the old one after I transferred the files I wanted).
