Im agreeing with Pie on this one! Linux is a peasent compared to Bill Gates, Hell, everyone is a peasent to him!
There's no way that this would ever happen, Linux is pretty open source and only appeals to programmers and hosting companies or search engines really. It still excells in these aspects, so there's nothing wrong with the OS in itself just that it can never get to be on par with windows.
Like it's been stated above. Linux isn't a company. It's an open source development system that many people have used to create their own OS around. There isn't a central comany that would benefit enough from it to even think about buying out Microsoft. And that reason is also why I don't see Microsoft buying out Linux.
LOL linux was made by some friends, Then they posted on the interent and everyone edited and posted it agian, So there are thousands of versions of linux out there and there is no real owener or company that can pay microsoft to buy it, The creaters of linux are just average jos like you and me maby they have a better job since they have the knowlage to create a os but still they are normal
