Webcam Problem

well about 2 weeks ago I had all kinds of viruses and what not. So i took it to this guy who just cleaneed off my entire computer, but now my webcam won't work and i dont' know where the installation disc is. Can somebody help me out?

 

Do you know what company and model the web cam is...?

 

uhhh... don't know the company but it installed Ulead Picture view if that helps at all? So i'm guessing it has something to do with Ulead..

 

Well, if you are missing the software for the device it's a pretty big problem, I suggest googling "ULead webcam freeware" and hope you get lucky with a freeware program, otherwise you would have to pay for the software...Or try something else...>> <<

Mhm, if you lost the install disc there really isn't much...I'm sure that the software that came with it isn't free, and unless you want to buy it again you will have to search for freeware.

 

Well just do me a favor look at the bottom of the camera and see if it says a copany name or model.And also usually at the top of the web cam towards the front of usually has a copany name or model.

 

Nope it doesn't say, but I'll take a picture of it with ym digital camera.

 

yea, you want drivers, aside from the program..

 

Try searching the program you used to have. Somehow track down the camera company, go to their site and then support there. See if they can mail you out a new CD for it. I'm waiting for one from Logitech... they're really slow with that crap...

well i was going to take a picture with my digital camera, but seeing as how the disc for that is missing to i can't, this is ----ing ridiculous, whoever gave me that ----ing virus should be eatin by termites.
