So I installed Norton onto my laptop and everything is fine, expiration date is like in a long time. But on this computer my expiration date was today, I reinstalled Norton and nothing, so is there anyway to fix it so my expiration date is the same as my laptop??

On the computer that you have the problem with, did you use the same account that you use with the laptop one?

You are only allowed to install Norton on one machine with the disk. If you plan on installing it on multiple machines, you need to buy multiple copies.

thats entirely true...u can install up to like 5 or 4 times and itll ask u to buy a new one...which might be wats wrong...keygen will not work so dont try...but there is one thing...in every computer theres a place where it knows wat u installed...like if u have a trial and it runs out and u reinstall it...it wont work...u have to get to that part...it has to do with start the click run and then u type in something (forgot) and u delete that...but u have to install it in a different area after that is done...

i say buy mcafee its $30 at wallmart or u can just download a free viruse scan there are many out there that are just as good as norton if not better i personally think that microsoft makes viruses and makes u buy new virsions so its pointless not to download a free ovirus scan

backup everything you want to keep and re-format. You've been at this for awhile now.... Now it's time to say good-bye to XP for a few hours, and Norton forever...

Oh, and if you can't backup on XP, I would suggest getting Knoppix, a Linux bootable cd, where you can go into your hard drive, collect data, and burn it to a cd. It really helps when your computer is ----ed. Helped me several times..
