The next version of Opera will have a built-in bittorrent client. Opera Software today launched a technical preview (TP) of the Opera browser for Windows, Linux and Mac that includes support for BitTorrent. Integrating this popular file-downloading technology in the Opera browser offers the end user a faster download process by utilizing full bandwidth and reducing the chance of in-transfer delay when multiple users download the same file. http://www.opera.com/pressreleases/en/2005/07/07/ Awesome or whut?
Not really that useful? Think of the possibilities man, currently when I run BitTorrent it hogs some resources, but it seriouslu decreases Internet speed. Opera plans to devise a way to stop internet speed decreasing, without having DL speed decreasing =|
This belongs in the computer section, now with that out of the way... WHOA! Thats got be one of the sweetest features a browser has offered! Firefox owns, but I cant see them doing anything like that.... does opera have tabbed browsing?
This might make me decide to go to opera idk i like my firefox lol maybe mozila will try to counter act against this with something even better
I dont have bitorrent cuz it costs money so I staying with good old limeware
BitTorrent is free =| Well the type I use is... :s
Some people are really misinformed. Bittorrent is free Opera has a more advanced tabbed browsing system than firefox Bittorent is a faster way to download than normally so it is very usefull And opera also has a built in irc client which is pretty sweet.
I dont have bitorrent cuz it costs money so I staying with good old limeware
Uhhhh every BT client that I know of (ones that are worth using) are free! And BT is way different then Limewire! I think Im might download opera just to get an idea of what its like!
i use opera and FF because they are both faster than IE. also, if you have any open tabs open in opera and you close it, it'll open those tabs when you open Opera the next time!
