Virus?

    my computer has some type of virus on it. when i start it up. everythinmg starts fine then the botton toolbar freezes up then the desktp. if i click any program before things trart to freeze up ui can do most of them. i can acess task manager. wat processes should i end?

    I think i need a screenshot because i dont kno what processes you have - If you do this ill tell you which processes are not needed - And go into run type MSConfig go into startup and show me a screenshot of that too :D Then ill update the info ;)

    i know i can get a pic of the screen by using the prt scrn key but how do i paste it into a box like this?? srry for being a noob...

    i cant acess the start menu to get to paint. its frozen. if i knew the name of it though i could start through windows task manager. its not paint.exe though...

    if i were you i would boot my pc in safe mode or end all tasks or processes. It sounds to me as if there is a program that is doing it and it cant run if u stop all processes

    ^what does that do if theres a virus??? nothing..

    it's called mspaint.exe

    just trust my Internet security guide.

    master he cant do anything with ur internet security guide if he cant click on anything without his computer freezing, ur best bet is running ur pc in safemode and stopping all the processes

    Ok wait im reading it 2 secs :D

    Run Task manager > Click File>New Task and then copy and paste this
    %SystemRoot%\System32\mspaint.exe

    Try and doing the screenshot now the post you did is hard to follow :D

    Run Internet Explorer and go onto http://www.imageshack.us - then browse for the saved image [save onto desktop as JPEG!!!] then upload - Then copy the forum code in line 1 here then post

    EDIT If you want the other directories that you need in order to do this then say it

    everytime i try to save it ms paint freezes up :( or if i try to do anything that deals with browsing files..
