ok my firfox is so gay this is wat happened it asked me for the profile and when i used my defult profile it said that u cant use it now so i made a new profile and than when i opened firfox i lost everything and i want my defult profile bak how can i get it bak? it has all my bookmarks and stuff
you can import your bookmarks from a previous firefox, right? I don't exactly knowhow to do it, but it should ask you if you want to import them from an erlier distro of FF.
This happened to me once. I can't remember the solution, but you go to the Tools - Options menu, and look for it their. Jst say start with Default fireFox or ask profile before starting up.
found it. try this: go to bookmarks tab-> Manage bookmarks a window opens. click on file->Import from there you can import bookmarks from IE, FF, etc. or from file. let me kno if it works, if not, ill find another workaround..
damn... can you go back to a restore point before you installed the new FF? If you can refer back, then you can backup your bookmarks, save it in your documents, and then re-install FF or go back to the restore point today. Thats the only way i can think you could go now...
well i found a way In order to create a new profile, you use the Profile Manager. To start the Profile Manager in Windows, follow these steps: 1. Close Firefox completely (select File > Exit from the main menu of Firefox). 2. Select Start > Run... from the Windows Start menu. 3. Enter firefox.exe -profilemanager and press OK. but when i run firefox.exe -profilemanager it says
Not really sure about this one. When i run firefox.exe -profilemanager, It just opens up a FireFox window. So im not really sure if that would help you anyway. Sorry i dont know whats wrong. I would love to help. Just wondering, have you tried un-installing and re-installing FireFox? There is a big chance that this could clear up your problem.
