I need to uninstall it but can't find the place to do it.
Not in the control panel or start menu so I don't know where to go.
I keep getting pop-ups constantly because of it.

Yes, it's in Add/Remove Programs and then you go to Add/Remove Windows Componets.

dudes... The pop-ups you get are from IE, but it is spyware... get search and destroy or adaware. And get FireFox if you dont already have it.

edit: to disable IE, all you need to do, is set up a proxy, and set the proxy at "0000" then it will not be able to go anywhere but Wibdows update..

well, now with microsoft's updates, you actually don't need IE to get your updates... except for the 'IE only sites...', but I dont know many of them... alough i do kno non-IE sites that are using xml, which IE can't read the code, it only shows the code...

Actually all of you saying Add/Remove programs are wrong. If you uninstall it from there its still on your computer. You have to do a few other things to completly remove it.
I wouldnt suggest it if you dont know what your are doing as it can ruin your computer.
If you really wnat, you can try this: http://www.litepc.com/ieradicator.html
Also just search google for "Remove Internet Explorer" or "Uninstall Internet Explorer" You will find a ton of sites on different ways to remove it.

Well its in Add/remove windows components but i suggest you dont as said. You can install and use firefox as your default browser. In case you need updates you got IE to get them from - And DONT MESS WITH REGEDIT or you will destroy your system :D

http://www.maxthon.com If you want an "updated" version of IE. If you know what you're doing you can even get it to show all transparent PNGs correctly
