Well im wondering what GFX program i should buy and there are a 2 that i feel is hard to choose from. I do not want to download but buy the genuine copy so therefore making a thread on this :D and dont say download them illegally because its not right for this kind of stuff that i like doing B)

Well these are the programs in consideration:

    - Bryce 5.5
    - C4D (Cinema4D)

    Info below for both programs

    Bryce 5.5 + Lighting 2.0
    Manufacturer: Daz Productions

Bryce can create very complex 3D scenes but, in the past, previewing options have always been slow and limited. This version uses the OpenGL features of your PC's graphics card to provide faster and more realistic previews, so you can see materials, such as rocks and snow, as you apply them to objects within scenes.

Rendering times for finished scenes have also been improved, and there's a new option that allows you to import additional 3D objects.

Best of all is the low price. It means anyone interested in 3D graphics can buy Bryce and spend hours doodling around with its amazing tools.

    Pros:
    Powerful and professional; affordable price

    Overall:
A professional and powerful 3D graphics program that's also fun for beginners and comes at an affordable price

    Cinema 4D
    Manufacturer: MaxonProductions

Cinema 4D is a sophisticated modeling and animation program that is affordable in comparison to similar programs. Wealth of modeling tools and fast rendering is the hallmark of Cinema 4D. You can create motion pictures with smooth animation renderings with Cinema 4D program.

Cinema 4D Core introduces many important basic ideas and techniques. With it, you will find that Cinema 4D is for beginners to advanced users. Expressions and the COFFEE language used in Cinema are some of its most powerful features.

3D for the Real World! The benefits of using a 3D tool are clear — you can make pictures you want from any angle and Cinema 4D costs about the same as Photoshop. It is definitely worth the time it takes to master the Cinema 4D program.

    System Requirements
    Bryce 5.5

    Pentium® Processor or Compatible
    Windows XP
500 MHz (1 GHz or faster recommended)
256 MB RAM min (512 recommended)
100MB free hard drive space for installation (500 recommended)
    32-bit graphics color depth

    Cinema 4D
    Mac OS X 10.3 or Windows 2000 / XP
    512 MB RAM
    CPU 1GHz

I know theres a great price difference ie Bryce around £83 ($90ish) and C4D around the upper £300 ($500-600 approx) Well i dont mind about the price I just need some feddback and advice on these products and which one you think is useful :D ( iguess theyre both useful both i cant buy both of them can i :D ) Choose 1 of 2 and give your reasons please.

I know there are Bryce and C4D users out there so could you give me a hand please - From your own view tell me whats so good about them and your views will be taken into account

I Dont want no flaming comments or you will be sorry - Be Nice ;)

Depends what you want to be doing with them, Bryce is good for abstract renders, and cinema 4D is good for modelling

well, bryce is good for abstract, or modeling landscapes..

c4d, is good for modeling objects, people, landscapes(kinda), and you can also make good abstract in c4d, but its a bit hard to get nice ones like you can get in bryce

bryce has alot of nice textures built in, put it takes a heck of long time to render, in c4d, u gotta make the textures or dl, and u probably wont get nice glass textures like u get in bryce for abstracts...

i say, buy one, and download the other :P
