Sensi I have your damn XP home serial and I want to trade it for some creds .. And MSN has to be deleted totally then installed for a proper upgrade if it came directly with XP thats what I did.

I cant personally say Ive ever had that problem I'd use Spybot Search & Destroy look for spyware in your system and uninstall and use a registry app to clean and correct errors in your Registry e.g Ccleaner. Then reinstall Msn. Stay away from Beta if you want a reliable Messenger use a stable version.
does it display any error when it reconnects and does it display anthing in ur event viewer( Control Panlel> Admininstative tools >Event Viewer).
Ad-Aware is better than Spybot, that's why I use Ad-Aware with a quick follow up from Spybot, as a precaution, it never finds anything after Ad-Aware Completely uninstall and delete all the files, as others have said, it should work.
