I found this awhile back and I just figured I'd post it to help people out. Follow these 3 easy steps and you'll see that Firefox magically speeds up. All you have to do is change a few functions and variables and, like magic, Firefox is twice as fast.

1.Type about:config into the address bar and hit Enter. Scroll down and look for the following entries:

    network.http.pipelining

    network.http.proxy.pipelining

    network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.

    2. Alter the entries as follows:

    Set network.http.pipelining to true

    Set network.http.proxy.pipelining to true

    Set network.http.pipelining.maxrequests to 8.

    3. Lastly right click anywhere and select New --> Integer. Name it nglayout.initialpaint.delay and set its value to 0. This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.

who says the search bar is a 'him'? I think it of a her because boys don't search through millions of posts to find a word that is included.

Yeah, this has been posted at least 2 other times...

Okay, sorry about the thread.... I'll try and search more often when I make them from now on. I guess it was worth it though 'cause I helped a couple people out.

I've the Dutch version but I'll transalate it.
    Text
    Number
    Boolean
That's what I see as I click new.

Number is what you want then, unless my math terminology is incorrect, but I'm sure I'm right :P
