They have just released the info on the 360 pricing: Microsoft has finally put to rest months of speculation, announcing official pricing and models for its upcoming Xbox 360 home entertainment console. The basic version of the Xbox 360 will run $299.99 USD, will a premium edition priced at $399.99 USD. The core Xbox 360 model includes only the console without hard drive, wired controller and standard AV cable. For an extra $100, gamers receive a special console with metallic detailing, 20GB hard drive, wireless controller, remote control, headset, high-definition AV cable and an Xbox Live Silver membership.
Thanks for informing, at least the Special Edition seems worth it, unless what Sony did with the PSP, forcing people to pay an extra $100
Yeah I just heard about that earlier today. It sounds affordable, even with the extra $100. I'm not sure if I will get it though. I still like my PS2, at least for now.
Its the wrong forum jackass. People were saying the ps3 was going to be expensive because THEY trhought it would sell at $400 and now that the xbox will sell at that price people are all over xbox and saying its a great price because they are gay fan boys. Plus having to pay $100 extra just so you can get a controller (which SHOULD be standard), hard drive (basically for memory) and a bunch of other crap that most people don't use because it involves either playing online (not everyone has dsl or cable or playing on HD ( not everyone has HD) is ridiculous. They changed the hard drive for the worse. Mostly the reason the xbox was so good was because it had built in memory. They are basically charging you $300 just for its graphical capabilities which probobly aren't worth that much. Don't call me a ps3 fan boy because I am getting both systems. I'm just stating my opinion
