OK, I am currently having some problems with a hacker continuously getting into my phpbb forum and messing with the admins profiles, deleting posts, and so on. This is not just a regular hacker, he has been harrasing the whole forum community for 3 years by just posting messages and harrassing us through posts. Now he has taught himself how to hack into the forum and he is causing much trouble. I would really like some advice quickly on which system is better security wise. I don't care about the shops, and mods besided quick reply which I know both have. I need to use the forum that will be hardest for him to hack into, as this is a club (organization) that has some confidential conversations to do with the club that this person should not be allowed to see. Please your thoughts about this topid please. I do not care which you like better, I need to know which is better in terms of security. Thank You.

PhpBB is the best, if you want a fun RPG on the board. Overall, VBulletin is probably the best quality, it just looks good.
I don't care how it looks. This topic is about security. I think we will go with IPB, sounds like it has a little bit more security and is cheaper to license than VB. Thanks
rpg isnt fun when someone hacks into your board + deletes every post ^_^ phpbb is the worst to go with: not because it isnt customizable or anything, its easy to customize, easy to skin, but the problem is that its easy to hack. untill the creators of phpbb fixes that problem, phpbb is the worst to go with. as i said (and many said before) IPB has the best security.
Yeah and the worst part is, Our club has worked for 5+ years on this forum and we have been dealing with this guy the whole time. Guess he thought it was time to step it up a notch and the whole club db is gone. IPB is what we are getting next, but asdly we will still have to stat over.
Whoa, and you guys just didnt block his IP? with VB and IPB, you can do that. at least youll be safer.
Same problem here i just re-installed and whoever it is did it again by finiding a way into the forum and deletin some of the important files like admin.php and board_config.tpl and admin_board_config.tpl I'm getting mad but i cant find a host that is cheap as 5 dollars and does IBP or VBullient....this sukz. http://darkjrgames.com as you notice he now has deleted my avatar was hosting in there so my avatars are now gone whooo hoo. ;( ;( ;(
