    Or, I'm suprised that none of you thought of this...

    Get Knoppix. It's a CD-bootable Linux distro. you can go online if you have a DSL connection. It can also see your drive, so you could download that file, and install it into that folder.

    OMFG u retards ill explain this for the last time

    1. I DONT HAVE A BOOTABLE XP DISK
    2. I CANT ACESS THE DESKTOP I CANT EVEN GET TO THE LOGON SCREEN
    3. I CANT GET ONTO THE INTENET EITHER SO DO LIST THAT AS A SOLUTION
    4.I HAVE TRIED SAFE MODE AND THIS ALSO FAILS

    I do appreciate the help tho

    i am on the verge of getting a xp cd but i just need to do some favour first O_O

    Any others ideas?

    Well that will always get you more help.we are giving you all the help we can, but if you cant seem to get it to do anything, just go to the store buy XP and then just delete everything.

    Problem solved.

    it just very frustrating not getting it too work im sorry but its just a lash out in anger

    But the future is looking bright as ill be getting the cd tonight GMT

    Anybody got instructions on what to do with the cd?

    did you dis my suggestion? since you are at your friend's house, you could download Knoppix, put it on a cd, get the dll file, put it on a floppy, and your problem is fixed.... ;)

    It sounds like it could work but im just going to stick with the risk-proof xp cd lol

    But your help was greatley considerd

    A challange the first person that tells me a step-by-step guide of what to do with the cd gets plus rep and some creds

    I did... good work. It's just that Knoppix can help you if you don't have a XP disk...

    Well thank you and i have to check that knoppix up. never heard of it but it sounds like it cud come in handy sometimes
