mate i would just recommend doing what everyone else told you and a lil tip before you open your files, always right click it and scan the file with your anti virus.i also recommend using avg and zonealarm they are a great combo and work well.

i use avg 7 free and zonealarm pro and ain't let me down before :D.

yes i can agree that it is possibly a virus or spyware. I would go with spyware and hook yourself up with google toolbar for 2 reasons.

1 you dont hae to type google.com all the time

    2 it blocks pop-ups like a mutha. :D

also delete you norton if you have it. get Trendmicro Anti-Spyware its free. get spysubtract the older version of trendmicro. and look around for spy hunter. those 3 programs along wiht google toolbar will save ur pc from a loss of performance. and if you are an Internet Explorer user go to Tools Internet options and the privacy taband put it to anything over medium high. so everything is :censored: for you.

dudes, that is not spyware, that is definately a virus. either scanning it, or having AVG watch over the shared folder is a must with p2ps or BitTorrent

and beside the point, this is a virus, because spyware does not show its fat face as a file, it is well hidden within windows...

limewire doesn't have viruses. it's the ---- you download from it that has viruses ;)

also, looking at porn sites would have probably been another cause for this.

if someone else uses your comp as well, you better put the security up on your firefox/IE or whatever your browser is.

well i just learned about this virus ^^

Um yea. the AARP will pwn us all.... And yea you got a V from limewire. Really now... LOL im sry, but beingoe who programs viri for personal use, it is just funny to see one as annoying as hat at work.

BTW avast will get rid of your problem. If it doesnt. Boot in safe mode then run it. BTW if you need anymore help PM and ill do my best. And it doesnt sound liek a spreader. more like the old klez.kleche which was made to crash servers, by filling p there memory with eror messages and fake files.

BUt did you learn a lesson. Prolly not. Keep downloading my friend.

    Its a free information world.

A free for all so F*ck em all, so to speak.
