He may be confusing it with Opera. FIrefox is free, so is Opera, but with Opera you get a small advertisement up top, if you buy it, it is removed. Both are good browsers. I have used them both but I stick with Firefox.
Well you cant buy FireFox at all. Its 100% free. Hydro is right. Opera can be bought, it makes it so there are no ads. I like FireFox the best out of any browser. I use Opera as my backup. And i use Avant Browser as my IE client
He may be talking about the CD that you can buy off Mozilla. All the difference is, is you donate money to Mozilla and they're happy that you contributed instead of just downloading it...
well, if you refurbish computers lets say, and you don't have internet acess at your place, but at work you do, but you are not allowed to download ANYTHING. you would rather buy the firefox cd then risk getting fired for downloading it. I know in most cases this wouldn't happen, but it's like on driverguide.com. they now ask you if you want to download the driver, or buy a cd that costs $1. They're just trying to make money to keep up their site..
Is your "W" key broken or have you not yet figured out the layout of a keyboard? I donated for the FireFox disk, so I'm someone that would. I had some extra money and they have to keep their site up somehow
