hmmmm now i wonder why you would want to know this......... you idiot were not gonna give detailed instructions on how to hack an ipb forum

[/b][/quote] it has been said before, those hackers prolly use an exploit for either the IPB version or some other loophole he's got on his server (mssql/php). There are exploits for everything throughout hacker sites (+ FXP sites), but some hackers (those that are a little more skilled) code them on their own mostly through C++ or VB. That should be enough of explanation, nobody (me included) wants to explain to anybody how to gain access to remote servers. So don't be nosey tern3l
Yup. There are exploits for even the latest IPB boards. I actually have one saved on my computer, but its just for reference. Hacking small forums like that is pointless.
change your password everyday. it messed some of the programs up. try your best to be secure. change hosts too. oh yeah.... it would be really stupid if you didnt delete the install.php
Yeah, try to backup your site weekly and use difficult passwords. If your host doesn't have an ip-tracker, change host because a good host should have one.
1. Backup daily. 2. Make sure you have deleted the IPB install files.. 3. Have a drink, make me a steak. <-- always works.
if they're using exploits than changing the passwort doesn't do anything. Also, changing the password isn't too bright, it's still going to be hacked, just a matter of time how long it takes them to bruteforce it.
The best thing is to backup daily, but maybe wait a while after they hacked you to restore it. That way they might just forget about you. Or better yet, sell your domain and buy a new one.
Ok thanks for all the help guys Greatly appreciated Truth is our host is really bad...really So me and another friend are remaking the sitw with a new host and making sure its secure Once again thank you all ^_^
