Anyone know how to disable a router firewall? My router makes me click go three times to pull up a webpage and is not load lots of pics.Its doing that on both of my computers to make sure it was my router I only pluged the modem in my computer and my internet worked fine.So im thinking it is my router and was going to see if it was my firewall. My Router is a D-Link Dl 604.
First try just unplugging it and waiting 5 minutes then plugging it back in. My old router would mess up and that fixed it till the next time. To turn off your firewall you will have to re-configure the router.I will look to see how to get into it. Edit: you have to know which revision you have to know how to configure it, go hereand get the manual if you dont still have the one that originally came with it. It should tell you how to get into it, once inside you should be able to disable the firewall. I would suggest messing around with the settings, but keep it on, it is better than the XP firewall at preventing unwanted stuff.
alright thanx ill have to try that but when I just use to have my modem hook up to my comp. I had around the same amount of viruses so I dont think turning the firewall off would let more viruses come in to my comp.
What program do I need to run the manual? When I open it with wordpad it just comes up with a bunch of jibberish.
