Firefox Broke?

Well I wake up today, brush my teeth shower eat breakfest.. Get on the computer, launch firefox.. And it just keeps freezing when I load it. So I'm like, okay I'll just reboot... I reboot, same thing. I uninstall, download it again, install, still doesnt work Anyone know whats wrong?

 

you may have spyware or a virus that isn't letting it run. try Ad-Aware, and Search and Destroy. for antivirus, I would try avast, nod32, and avg.

That should knock out any virus or spyware.

try HijackThis! also, and delete any startup processes that look suspicious.

 

make sure all your extensions are updated

 

orbZ, how could he possibly do that? He can't even get into Firefox. You couple people on here need larger text....

 

by opening FF in safemode, and try updating or uninstalling extensions and see if that help

 

Spyware for shure, happens everytime when I DONT scan for spyware for soemtime.

 

see if there is a new version of firefox out there. They release new ones every couple weeks.

 

I know, go back to ie, or used an IE based browser...lol. Well, use every virus scanner you can find and hunt down that SOB.

 

Oh well... I downloaded opera, and it's not that bad I just have to get used to it. Thanks for all the help guys, maybe sometime later I'll go and try to fix it.

Use that. Avant Browser. Its really good. All I use is Avant Browser and Fox.

Its IE based, but they fixed MAJOR flaws and its Tabbed!

Sry if this is off-topic, but i have so much trouble w/ firewalls and programs, like i can't start photoshop cs2 without turning off norton.

 

Nah you guys helped lots, and I've tried avant before.. Was okay, but I think I'll stick with opera, it's nice.

And norton isnt that good.. You might wana get nod32 or avg antivirus.

 

Yea, anything is better than Norton...
