I don't feel like going through 19 pages of posts, so sorry if I repeat this (I know I'm repeating a little off the last page though): You have to look at the past to see what is in store for the future. For example, PS2 still managed to compete with X-Box, even though X-box was a lot newer. PS2 has many more and better games than X-Box has. I don't care what X-Box fans say, most of my friends are X-Box fans so I was forced to shame them all ^_^ , look at the games. PS2 had an incredible amount of games that were great. How many games did X-Box have that were good, that aren't for other consoles like PS2? I'd say Halo and Halo 2. Microsoft pretty much did this (this is probably in articles everywhere, but this is sort of a given): They realized that there was a lot of money in console gaming. So, they plan to build a new, better, console. They had the advantage of being able to just get better hardware than ps2, since ps2 was already out and couldn't exactly make drastic changes to the hardware. Thats where they started throwing out big numbers like 20 gig hard drives inside the x-box, because even though most people don't know all that much about computers, they do usually know 20 gigs is a decent amount. That was X-Box's main thing (at least to most of the people I know and talk to), a 20 gig hard drive. I'd debate with my friends about this, and they'd start saying stuff about PS2 not having it. So what? You still need to go spend the money on a memory card if you ever want to play at a friends house. The other thing X-Box did was make their consoles internet-accessable prepackaged. This was a major jump on PS2, which if you wanted online-play, you had to go purchase additional hardware. This was the best thing X-Box could have done. However, now lets look at the future. Microsoft no longer has the advantage of coming out second. Sony does, and with PS3 coming out in 2007, that gives Sony ample time to see what X-Box is made of, and then better itself upon that. Looking at the current specs is worthless, contrary to the "to all you ps3 fans" thread. I'm putting my money on PS3 being the better console, since PS2 was as good if not better than X-Box, and this time Sony has the advantage.
Playstation 3 for me, because I am a pure PS fan, their products have ALWAYS been reliable for me, and have some of the best game franchises.
i personally think that this versus ---- is dumb and you should get whatever you want that makes you happy and cause you want it....btw i want the ps3 but im sure all 3 systems is gonna be good for thier comsumers meaning the reg-gamers,the hardcore gamers, sony, mircosft , and nintendo fans are gonna have a blast with their new systems purely cause they like it so i personally dont care bout the versus stuff and this is gonna pwned that and stuff i say get it you want it
Its amazing that my thread made it to 20 pages anywayz it looks like ps3 in the magazines and in the paper so ps3 is up in the charts
360 all the way baby its gonna support HDTV and be able to compell with the ps3 which is something even the ps3 cant do and u can make ur own mods from the pc and send them to xbox live marketplace to download and play ur won mods on ur game....NOW THAT OWNAGE
what it really comes down to is games and the online service which the 360 has best on both of those counts in my opinion
u guys just dont rearlise how good xbox is, xbox live is amazing compared to playstation live there mics are sh :censored: , xbox has so much memory its unbelivble , ownt?
Oh wow. A PS3 vs. Xbox 360 thread! <_< I ain't commenting anything on this topic. I hate when it comes to see who wins.
I'm not planning on buying either of them right away, but if I do get to looking I'll probably buy the Ps3.. I didn't like the first XbOX, probably won't like the second one.
